On September 15th 2021, Xiaomi 11T Pro debuted along with Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. Xiaomi 11T Pro is releasing approximately 6 months after Xiaomi Mi 11 and although it has features that a premium phone would have, it is relatively more modestly priced. It’s best feature would undoubtedly be the fast charging; Xiaomi 11T Pro charges twice as fast as a 55W Mi 11!

Xiaomi 11T Pro Review
11T Pro is offering a 120Hz AMOLED display and the memory configurations it is being sold in are 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. Let’s find out if it can compete with its competitors and whether if you should buy it.
Design:
The phone size is a little too large compared to what customers consider as comfortable for holding. The exact dimensions are 6.46 x 3.03 x 0.35 in and it weighs around 204g. Furthermore, the phone has a highly responsive fingerprint scanner on the right edge; it’s worth noting that users report that even by holding the phone if you mistakenly brush your thumb against it, even if slightly, your phone will unlock without you knowing.
A USB-c port is available at the bottom, however, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. Left of the charging port is dual-SIM slot. An improvement from the 2020 phone is that camera bump in the back is now less imposing.
Phone’s framework comes in Moonlight White, Meteorite Gray or Celestial blue and it tends to get patchy and smudgy when held for too long. There’s also no IP68 water resistance which is offered on the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra; Xiaomi 11T Pro instead offers IP53 dust and splash protection similar to the Redmi Note 10 series.
Display:
It is obvious that Xiaomi has saved the costs by providing a mediocre design for 11T Pro that isn’t much attractive. Fortunately that isn’t the case for its display. With 6.67 inch screen and 20:9 aspect ratio, you get a FHD+ AMOLED display. The screen is further protected by a Gorilla Glass Victus. Bezels are super thin and the peak brightness is of 1000nits with no visibility issues even under the sun.
Xiaomi 11T Pro offers excellent color contrast levels and with AI image engine you can enhance contrast and brightness levels of already captured photos.
The refresh rate is not set to 120Hz out of the box you have to go to settings to switch to 120Hz. By default it is 60Hz which is reasonable considering that the main idea of this phone is the battery life and to maximize it they have lowered the default refresh rate.
It also lacks the scaling mode that was offered in Mi 10T and was able to switch refresh rate based on the use. The absence of scaling mode applies to all AMOLED-powered Xiaomi devices.
Software
Xiaomi 11T Pro runs MIUI 12.5 on Android 11. The optimizations have rendered the User Interface more fluid and eliminated the push notification bugs.
In addition to that, alongside Samsung and some other chief Android corporations, Xiaomi will be offering three platform updates. With that, once available, Xiaomi 11T Pro will switch to Android 14. Xiaomi also promises 4 years of security updates.

Cameras
Xiaomi 11T Pro uses 16MP/f 2.5 camera for front and for the main camera it is 108MP like most of its phones along with 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide and 5MP f/2.4 telephoto macro. For its primary lens, Xiaomi 11T features Samsung HM2 Sensor. Attached below is a sample picture shot from the 108MP main camera.
The camera interface is similar to Mi 11 series with shooting modes at bottom. For low-light shots there is a Night Mode which is available for 8MP ultra wide lens as well.
You get a Pro mode with manual controls and Movie effects mode with 6 different effects for video recording. You can shoot a 8K video at 30fps, a 4K video at 30 or 60fps and 1080p video at 30/60/120/240/960 fps. Additionally, with Audio Zoom, you can amplify the audio as well.
Battery and Performance
11T Pro comes with Snapdragon 888 5G chipset and an Adreno 660 GPU both of which deliver a power performance with zero lag. Bluetooth 5.2 maintains reliable connection and 5G Connectivity provides a decent coverage.
Now for its finest feature which is fastest charging. The phone comes with a massive 5000mAh battery – which is two 2500mAH cells. The charging tech it offers is 120W HyperCharge Support and you get a 120W charger in the box.
With this charger and the USB-c cable connected at 20V/6A you can get maximum charging and the screen will show that your phone is now charging at the maximum speed.
It takes approximately 20 minutes for the phone to fully charge during which it does not get hot.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a fastest charging phone in the market you should definitely consider buying Xiaomi 11T Pro. For a phone that carries a price tag of $760, the Xiaomi 11T Pro’s design choices surely are unimpressive.
The alternatives to this phone could be Mi 11, $820, or OnePlus 9, $820. Both these phones offer splendid design and a similar powerful hardware. If you want a phone that captures amazing photos then Mi 11 would be a better option than Xiaomi 11T Pro. If you are looking for a more affordable phone you can opt for Xiaomi 11T at just $645.
It should be noted that none of these phones offer as fast charging as Xiaomi 11T Pro. Mi11 comes with 55W charging and 50W wireless charging, OnePlus 9 with 65 W charging and 15 W wireless and Xiaomi 11T with a 67 W charging.
Therefore, Xiaomi 11T Pro carries its high price tag for a 120W fastest charging and the fact that it is offering three Android Platform updates.
So if you need a device with long battery life, powerful hardware and long-term updates, you do not have to think twice before buying Xiaomi 11T Pro. Nevertheless, if your concern is design, water resistance and a high quality camera than you should consider the alternatives to the 11T Pro.
