LG G3 users can upgrade their devices now to Android 7.0 Nougat to taste the new features and look of the new Android OS platform. Although this Android 7.0 Nougat firmware is not officially released by LG for LG G3 model number D850 but thanks to XDA-Developers for providing the new AOSP firmware for these phones. Keep in mind that this unofficial Nougat ROM is an early built which is still in its under development stages, thus you might face some unexpected minor bugs. You cannot use this AOSP based on CM14 on a daily basis currently but the developers are working hard to fix the issues and in providing a stable release.
Being an advanced Android user, go ahead and follow the given instructions to update LG G3 D850 to Android 7.0 Nougat with AOSP firmware. Do not mess things up, otherwise you can brick your phone. It is highly recommended to take proper backup of your LG G3 before installing the AOSP Android 7.0 Nougat ROM on your LG G3 using Nandroid backup. All you need to have a rooted LG G3 phone and the latest version of a custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP must be installed on it before proceeding to the installation guide.

This guide containing the AOSP Android 7.0 Nougat ROM and instructions are working with LG G3 (Model D855) only. Do not try to install this unofficial firmware on any other device or incorrect variant. Check the model number of your device first.

Pre-Requirements:
- Make a proper backup of all your important data and settings before proceeding to the installation guide using a recommended custom recovery like TWRP or CWM.
- Download and install LG G3 D855 USB Drivers on the PC.
- Enable USB Debugging on the LG G3 on the PC by navigating to Settings > Developer Options > check USB Debugging option.
- The LG G3 should be rooted with the latest version of custom recovery installed.
- The bootloader of your G3 should be unlocked.
- The latest version of CWM or TWRP custom recovery must be installed on LG G3.
- Check the battery level of your device, it should be charged at least about 80% to prevent unexpected shutdowns while installing the AOSP Android 7.0 Nougat ROM.

Steps to Install Android 7.0 Nougat AOSP custom ROM on LG G3 D850:
1:- First, download the AOSP Android 7.0 Nougat ROM and Google Apps package from the above links on the desktop of your computer.
2:- Make a connection between your LG G3 and computer using USB data cable.
3:- Transfer the downloaded files to your phone.
4:- Once the files are copied, disconnect the device from the PC.
5:- Power off your device in order to boot into recovery mode.
6:- Power ON the device while pressing and holding Power and Volume down buttons at the same time.
7:- When the LG logo appears, release the keys and immediately press Power and Volume Down buttons again until the Hard Reset menu will be displayed.
8:- Press Power button once and confirm the hard reset operation. Done, your LG G3 will boot into recovery mode.
9:- Now select the “wipe data factory reset”, “wipe cache partition” and “wipe dalvik cache” options.
10:- Go back to the main menu of Recovery. Select “install zip from SD card” followed by “choose zip from SD card”.
10:- Locate the download firmware file that you have already transferred to your phone and begin the installation process.
12:- Repeat the last step and flash the Google Apps package.
13:- Navigate to main recovery menu and choose “reboot system now”.
