  9. What are the differences between following these steps on a Mac v. a PC?
I didn’t bother downloading the USB drivers since it’s an .exe file, so I need to find those elsewhere.
But after that, are the steps virtually the same?
I really want to drop all the Samsung bloatware and try out the google play edition ROM.
Please help a Mac using noob out. Thanks.

(you are not in an agreement), you could go ahead and also
    use a local SIM.

  18. Hi, Followed your steps above and ended up losing my wifi. Also my phone doesn’t show up on my PC any longer. I’m unable to turn on my wifi. I have kitkat 4.4.4 my baseband ver is I337UCUFNJ5…….I’m afraid I hosed my phone. Suggestions….help! Thanks

  19. I rooted with the above directions and it completely worked. Stupidly, I let a OTA update through and it broke my root. I tried rooting again with these same steps and it no longer works. Any ideas? I’m still on kitkat 4.4.4 Kernel 3.4.0-2960651

  20. Worked flawlessly on one of my S4s. The other got stuck in Recovery Boot cycle. A couple other articles suggested the Data Wipe/Factory Reset then clearing the Cash Partition was the only option if this happened. DO NOT do that. Clearly it wipes out your pics, etc… but it DID NOT work. What did work was going back to the Odin folder and launching the oldest version rather than the newest. Presto! Done in a snap just like the first one.
