In this guide, we will be talking about LineageOS 19 for Xiaomi Mi 6, Moto G 5G, Motorola Edge and other devices. The team of developers behind LineageOS have now extended their support to more devices for the Android 12-based LineageOS 19.
The list of supported devices has largely increased since the release of the latest version of LineageOS earlier this year. By the end of July 2022, we saw that support was extended to OnePlus Nord N200, Fairphone 3 and Redmi 7.
Now the LineageOS team is adding some more phones to the list of compatible devices. These include the Xiaomi Mi 6, Moto G 5G, Moto G 5G Plus, Moto Edge and ZUK Z2 Plus.
LineageOS 19 for Xiaomi Mi 6, Moto G 5G, Moto G 5G Plus, Moto Edge and ZUK Z2 Plus
The Moto G 5G, Moto G 5G Plus and the Motorola Edge all are devices released by Motorola in 2020 that belong to the budget segment of the market. The devices came with Android 10 out of the box.
As they were budget-friendly devices, Motorola only provided 1 major OS upgrade to these devices, upgrading them to Android 11. This meant that the users could not experience the new features and goodies found in Android 12.
With LineageOS 19 support, the users can now try out Android 12 on their devices by installing the custom ROM on their phones.
Talking about the ZUK Z2 Plus and the Xiaomi Mi 6, both of them are relatively older devices. These devices have not received an official Android update for many years. With LineageOS 19 support, these devices get a new lifeline. For users who are still using one of the two devices, they can now try Android 12 on their device courtesy of LineageOS 19.
