This latest Android firmware version is available via Unofficial CyanogenMod 14 ROM. The official updates for the Galaxy S5 ended at Android 7.0 Nougat, and there is no news from the company that when exactly they will roll-out the update officially. Admittedly, a lot of Galaxy S5 users may be disappointed, but that isn’t really where this phone’s life ends. Now Galaxy S5 users can test the latest Android OS and enjoy the latest 7.0 Nougat features on their devices. CyaongenMod is meant to add a new life to your phone when its manufacturer has forgotten it. The name of the latest version, the CyanogenMod 14 refers to the custom Android 7.0 Nougat. As Android 7.0 Nougat CM14 is an Unofficial build, thus you may expect some minor bugs or not functioning features. If you are an advanced user, then you can flash it and should be perfectly fine. Now, proceed to install Android 7.0 Nougat on your Galaxy S5 by following the given step-by-step guide.
Note:
This guide containing the CyanogenMod 14 Unofficial ROM is working only with the Galaxy S5 G900F. Do not try to flash this custom firmware on any other device or incorrect variant. You can check the model number of your device by going to Settings > About Phone > Model Number.

Pre-Requirements:
- It is highly recommended to take a proper backup of all your critical data as well as settings before moving on to the installation guide via any custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.
- Download and install the correct Galaxy S5 G900F USB Drivers on your PC.
- Enable USB Debugging Mode on the S5 by navigating to Settings > Developer Options.
- The Galaxy S5 should be rooted with CWM/TWRP recovery installed.
- The battery level of the Galaxy S5 should be at least up to 80% charged before going ahead with the ROM installation instructions.

Steps to Install CyanogenMod 14 based Android 7.0 Nougat on Galaxy S5 G900F:
Step No 1: – First, download the Android 7.0 Nougat Unofficial CM14 ROM and Google Apps package from the above links on the desktop of your PC. Do not extract these files.
Step No 2: – Now, connect your S5 to the PC using its USB data cable.
Step No 3: – Move the Android 7.0 CM14 Nougat and Google Apps to the root folder of SD card on your phone.
Step No 4: – Now, disconnect the device from the PC and turn it OFF in order to boot into Recovery Mode.
Step No 5: – Turn ON the Galaxy S5 while pressing and holding Volume Up + Home + Power keys at the same time for a while until the device enters into Recovery Mode.
Step No 6: – Go back to the main recovery menu and perform a full data wipe. This includes Dalvik cache, Cache, System, Factory data reset.
Step No 7: – Go back the main Recovery menu and choose install zip from sd card > choose zip from sd card.
Step No 8: – Find the ROM and Gapps files that you’ve already transferred to the root folder of your SD Card in Step No 3. Select the Nougat ROM file and proceed the installation process.
9: – Once the ROM is successfully installed on your Galaxy S5, install Google Apps package by following the same procedure as given above.
Step No 10: – After the installation of CM14 Android 7.0 ROM and Google Apps, select reboot system now to reboot the Galaxy S5 .
It will take about 5 minutes to boots up for the first time after installing ROM on your phone.
