- It is highly recommended to take a proper backup of all your important data like contacts, call logs, text messages, images, videos, market apps and internet settings etc.
- Enable USB debugging on the Note 2 by navigating to Settings – Developer Options – Check the USB Debugging Option.
- The latest version of a custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP recovery should be installed on the Note 2.

Follow these given instructions to install Resurrection Remix Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on Galaxy Note 2 N7100. Read all the steps below carefully.
1:- First of all, download Android 5.1.1 custom ROM (Download Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.4.8-20150620-n7100_v2.zip) on the desktop of your PC for Galaxy Note 2.
2:- Now plug your device to the PC using its USB data cable and mount USB mass storage of the phone.
3:- Transfer the Resurrection Remix ROM .zip file (downloaded from the above link) to the root folder of your SD Card on the phone.
4:- Disconnect the Galaxy Note 2 from the PC and turn it off.
5:- Next, get your device into Recovery Mode. Turn On the device while pressing and holding Volume Up + Home + Power buttons altogether.
6:- Once your device enters into CWM Recovery, perform:
- Full data wipe → Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
- Wipe Cache Partition
- Advanced → Wipe Dalvik Cache
7:- Go back to the main menu of recovery and choose Install Zip from SD card.
8:- Click Choose Zip fromSD card and find Resurrection Remix ROM .zip file which you’ve already transferred to the root folder of your SD Card. Confirm and start the ROM installation process on the next screen.
9:- Install Google Apps (Gapps) on your phone by repeating the above steps.
10:- After installing the ROM and Google Apps on your Galaxy Note 2, navigate to “+++++Go Back+++++” and from the Recovery menu, select Reboot System Now.
Your device will be restarted now and it will take about 4 to 5 minutes while booting up for the 1st time after installation.
