- It is highly recommended to take a proper backup of all your required data and settings before proceeding to this installation guide using a custom recovery.
- Download and install correct USB Drivers for the HTC One Mini on the PC.
- Enable USB Debugging Mode on your device by navigating to Settings > Developer Options. If the Developer Options is not available then go to Settings > About Phone and find the Build Number there. Tap on the build number for 7 times and it will enable the Developer options and then you can enable USB debugging mode.
- The HTC One Mini should be rooted.
- A custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP should be installed on the One Mini.
- Verify the battery level of your phone, it should be charged at least about upto 80% before going ahead.
Stesp to Install Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on HTC One Mini with CyanogenMod 12 Nightly Custom ROM:
1:- First of all, download Android 5.0.2 Lollipop CM12 custom ROM and Google Apps on the desktop of your PC.
2:- Plug your HTC One Mini to the PC using its USB data cable and mount the mass storage of the phone.
3:- Copy the downloaded files (zipped) to the root folder of internal memory in the phone.
4:- Disconnect the HTC One Mini from the PC and turn it OFF in order to boot into Recovery Mode.
5:- Turn ON the phone while pressing and holding Volume Down + Power keys at the same time to boot into HBoot Menu, now select Recovery.
6:- While your device is in CWM recovery, perform full data wipe by selecting wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and then Wipe Dalvik Cache. Select Yes to confirm on the next screen.
7:- Go back the main Recovery menu and choose install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard.
8:- Find the ROM and Gapps files that you’ve already transferred to the root folder of your phone’s memory in Step No 3. Select the Lollipop ROM file and proceed the installation process.
9:- Once the ROM is successfully installed on your HTC One Mini, install Google Apps package by following the same procedure as given above.
10:- After the installation of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop CM12 Nightly ROM and Google Apps, select reboot system now to reboot the One Mini.
It will take about 5 minutes to boots up for the first time after installing ROM on your phone.

Just a minor issue with the walkthrough.
The Google Apps link provided is for a set of Apps that aren’t compatible with the latest build. When I installed and booted the phone the keyboard fails to load and keeps flashing up a message whenever you go near an app that needs to use the keyboard.
Also, not sure if I’ve done something wrong but the link provided to the ROM provides a download for KitKat not Lollipop. So currently I’m running 4.4.4. The google apps link provided is for Lollipop google apps which I think is why there is an issue.
Sorted it now though and pretty good ROM. Not sure about battery life yet, although it’s always been pretty poor.
