Note:

Pre-Requirements:

  • Take a proper backup of all your important data of the One M7 before proceeding to the installation guide using a recommended custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.
  • Enable USB Debugging Mode on your HTC One M7 by navigating to Settings > Developer Options.
  • The HTC One M7 should be rooted with the latest version of custom recovery installed.
  • The bootloader of the phone must be unlocked.
  • Check the battery level of your One M7; it should be charged at least about 70% to prevent unexpected shutdowns during installation.
  • Download and install HTC One M7 USB Drivers on your PC.
  • Setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC. How To?

Required Files:

Steps to Update HTC One M7 to Resurrection Remix Android 5.1.1 Lollipop ROM:

Step No 1: – First download Android 5.1.1 Resurrection Remix ROM (Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.5.3-20150806-m7.zip) and Google Apps for your HTC One on the PC.

Step No 2: – Connect the Phone with PC using its USB Data cable.

Step No 3: – Copy the downloaded Android 5.1.1 firmware and Gapps .zip files to your device.

Step No 4: img- Now move the boImg file to android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools directory on your PC.

5:- Power Off the HTC One to enter into the fastboot / bootloader mode. Power ON the phone while pressing and holding the Volume Down + Power buttons.

Step No 6: – While your device is in Fastboot mode, go to “android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools directory” on your PC.

Step No 7: – Launch command prompt and enter the following given commands:

fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot

Step No 8: – Follow the on-screen instructions and select the bootloader, then choose to boot the device in the recovery mode.

9: – From the Recovery Mode, select “install zip from sd card” and navigate to the firmware .zip file. Confirm the installation on the next screen, and the flashing process will begin. Please wait, this process may take about 5 minutes to apply the update.

Step No 10: – Once the installation process completed, navigate to “+++Go Back+++” and reboot the device in the normal mode.

Step No 11: – Install Google Apps (Gapps) by repeating the above steps.
