In this guide we will be talking about the April 2022 security patch update for OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. The OnePlus smartphone brand recently started rolling out the OxygenOS 12 update for it’s flagship devices including the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.
Along with the update, OnePlus is also providing the April 2022 security patch update for OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in addition to some minor improvements to device stability and performance.
April 2022 Security Patch Update For OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro
The latest build that comes with the update comes with the firmware version C.48. As of now, the update has been provided to devices in selected regions. The update comes with a size of 147MB. The changelog for the update goes as:

Across India, the OxygenOS 12 C.48 update is being rolled out slowly to all the users of these two flagship devices. The update should be received by all of the other users in a few weeks time, just like it has been with all the previous updates as well.
As we said, the update is already provided to some users in selected regions. If you want to check if your device has received the update, you can do so by heading over your device’s Settings > System > System updates.
In there, you can tap on the Check for update button. If there is an update available, then you can easily install it from there on your device.
If you still have not received the update, you can also update your device by manually flashing the latest firmware package. You can do so by proceeding to the links for incremental firmware update provided below in this guide.
But you should download the version of the firmware that corresponds to the version of OxygenOS which is currently running on your device.
