Android 12 For Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 | ArrowOS Android Custom ROM

In this guide, we will be talking about Android 12 for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 both were the flagship devices from Samsung back in 2018.

Samsung’s policy is to provide Android OS updates to 3 years, but this policy only applies to Samsung’s flagship devices from the Galaxy S10 and onwards. Right now, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Note 9 only receive security updates from Samsung.

This means that both of these devices are still running on Android 10. But as these devices are quite popular ones, they have much support among developers and in the customization market. One of the developers has released the ArrowOS Android 12 custom ROM for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 which allows user to run Android 12 on Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Now Android 12 for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 is available and the credit for this goes to the developer team behind ArrowOS. For users of these devices, this is a great opportunity to experience the latest version of Android on their Galaxy device.

The ROM has almost all of the features and important functions working properly such as Wi-Fi, RIL, Bluetooth, audio and video playback, and others.

But as the custom ROM is quite new, there are some issues as well. For instance, some functions like Wi-fi casting and device encryption are disabled currently. Further, there are also a few incompatibility issues between AOSP and Samsung’s use of advanced LTE services. This means that services such as VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling can not be used.

Keep in mind that the Android 12 for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 is only for the global or Korean variant and these devices must be running on Exynos chipsets. The ArrowOS Android 12 custom ROM will not work on those devices which run on Snapdragon chipsets.
